In this workshop I'll briefly define formative assessment and outline some of the principles required to promote this in our classes. We will then explore some tasks which embed formative assessment principles and discuss how these may work with our students. During the discussions we will deduce how the teacher and student can benefit from these activities.
Rebecca heads the English module in the department of Digital Business & Innovation at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, Austria. She has worked with both Cornelsen Verlag on the Short Course series and with OUP on the Business Result authoring team. She is also a CELTA tutor. In her free time she enjoys music, the great outdoors and travel.
