Once upon a time, back in 1992, there was a little school with a small office containing two desks and a typewriter, two classrooms and a few books. More importantly, there was a small team of teachers passionate about teaching English...
Thirty-five years later there is a thriving school (still on the same premises) and a well-established Cambridge Exam Centre in the Czech Republic. As before, there is a dedicated team, which is now considerably larger. These professionals are passionate about teaching, helping students to pass Cambridge Exams and working with other teachers on mutual growth and development.
P.A.R.K. has always been run by teachers. Teacher development has always been at the heart of our work. We have always been looking for new opportunities and new ways to move forward and improve. One of our greatest achievements is the family of partner schools and outstanding teachers with whom we cooperate.
Our latest project, a series of books for teachers, actually combines “the best of these two worlds”: our eagerness to improve, move forward and always come up with something new; and ideas from our partner teachers.
We were delighted when we were contacted by one of our partner teachers, Kateřina Koksteinová, to help her publish her first book. In a field that is new to us, our mutual respect and extensive cooperation in all aspects helped us drive the first of a series forward.
We hope you will find this new area of our teacher support useful and beneficial. We are looking forward to trying out the writing tasks with our classes.
