The gap between students' levels in one class is widening, which makes it harder and harder to teach English at elementary schools effectively. In my workshop, I would like to offer practical ideas on how to bridge the gap and cope with teaching the past simple in a mixed ability (A1/A2) class.

Pavla Paříková (Štanclová) has been involved with ESL teaching and methodology for over 25 years. She has run an English language school and produced the Drive magazine. Over the past eleven years, she has been specializing in writing texts in simplified English and producing a range of ESL materials. Today, producing Jump magazine, she focuses on young learners and teenagers.
