Do your learners groan when it’s time to open the book? This interactive session offers a fresh alternative to coursebook fatigue by exploring how stories can transform classroom dynamics. You’ll walk away with ready-to-use tips, age-appropriate activities, and creative ideas that bring English to life for kids aged 5–10: all grounded in real classroom practice. Come get inspired, equipped, and ready to make learning feel like an adventure again.

Jana is an English major (Faculty of Arts, MU Brno), lucky enough to spend an Erasmus semester at the University of Oxford, and a teacher with experience at both primary and secondary schools, as well as years of teaching adults. For the past two years, she’s been the leader of her one-woman-show: Story and ?, a creative English workshop project for kids. A joyful journey of smuggling her hobbies — reading, dancing, singing, and art — into her work life.
