The workshop will present a gripping documentary that profiles an underdog team in America’s first all-girls tackle football league and the participants will have a chance to experience engaging activities, see where to find free ready-to-use materials and to reflect on options of using JSNS documentaries in English lessons.

Ida Bauerová serves as an English teacher at the Secondary Nursing School in Usti nad Labem and Usti University. With a profound commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment, Ida advocates for the integration of documentary films as a catalyst for student motivation, collaborative exploration of vital subjects, and the cultivation of meaningful ideas. Recognizing the power of documentaries to ignite discussions, she believes that this approach facilitates natural learning experiences, enabling students to comprehend both themselves and the world more deeply.
