The 2023 Merriam-Webster word of the year was authenticity. In this workshop we will explore authenticity in ELT relating to a) teacher behaviour b) tasks c) materials and d) learning and e) vocabulary learning in particular.
In the age we live in today this field of ELT has never been more relevant.

Mark Andrews worked as a teacher trainer at Eötvös Loránd University Budapest for 15 years in the Department of English Applied Linguistics, before that he was in the G.D.R, Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic. He has been living and working in Central/Eastern Europe for 40 years. 12 of which were as ELT methodology teacher with the British Council. He was training director at SOL for 10 years. He now is a freeance teacher trainer.
